“The production of this show was an exhilarating endeavor, particularly poignant during the SAG strikes of the preceding summer. The exploitation of performers and financial stress we face as actors was channeled into this performance and was simply invigorating to have the audience so enraged and inspired that they were chanting strike with us by the end. Their enthusiastic support, culminating in chants alongside us, was so empowering."
“Florence as a young woman yearns romance, freedom, and passion longing for the thrill of new love and the chance to live life to the fullest. Yet, she feels held back by the traditional role she's expected to play in her family. It's a struggle between what she wants and what's expected of her, and exploring that inner conflict was truly fascinating. Her pain in wanting two different things was simply beautiful.”
